It was a fitting end to 2021 with Wilde Racing bringing home a treble at the local Woodford Cup day meeting at Warrnambool.
From eight runners the team managed 3 wins, 1 second and two thirds for the afternoon.

Morning Has Broken (pictured) broke her maiden status after being narrowly defeated at Colac and Stawell her two starts prior.
She was given a great ride by Linda Meech and was too strong for her rivals at the end of 2000m.
It was great to have owner/breeder on course, David Trevathan, to enjoy the win.

Chosen Miss was the other filly to break her maiden status on the day. Continuing a great association with Grand Syndication’s, it was great to see Chosen Miss get the win on the board at only her second career start. She had taken good improvement from her debut run at Terang into her race last Friday and she was strong late. Although she missed the break slightly, jockey Jarrod Fry didn’t panic before bringing her to the outside and unleashed a great finish.

As I Please gave the stable a trifecta for the day rewarding his very patient owners. Many who are locals and were on track to enjoy the win, had to await the photo finish result before celebrating in front of a big crowd.
Coming from a near impossible position rounding the home turn, As I Please produced a great turn of foot the last 150m to get his nose down right on the line. There were four across the track but much to our delight As I Please got the result.

Congratulations to all our winning connections on the day.
