Wilde Racing enjoyed a standout day at Naracoorte on Sunday, coming away with a brilliant treble headlined by a strong victory in the Naracoorte Cup. It was a rewarding afternoon for the team, with three of their four runners returning to the winners’ enclosure.

Rubiquity kicked things off in the 0–54 over 1200m. Settling into a lovely rhythm, the gelding travelled strongly throughout under Cam Rawiller before kicking clear in the straight. His win set the tone for what would become a great afternoon for the team. It was encouraging to see Rubiquity rediscover his zest for racing after seemingly losing his way. He jumped quickly, travelled well, and was able to finish strongly, winning by 0.45 lengths. It was a great result for his owners, who have remained patient while the team worked hard to recapture Rubiquity’s early three-year-old form.

The feature event belonged to El James, who produced a strong staying performance to secure the Naracoorte Cup. He was beautifully ridden by Rochelle Milnes. After jumping well from the barrier, El James settled into a lovely position just behind the early speed. When the tempo eased, El James became a little keen, but Rochelle guided him out into the clear rounding the home turn. He accelerated quickly and demonstrated his class, winning by just over two lengths. It was a fantastic result for his connections to secure a feature win with El James.

The treble was sealed in the last race when Wichitall delivered a determined, on‑pace effort to round out the program. Showing grit over the concluding stages, he fought off challengers and scored a narrow win. He jumped well from a good barrier and, without having to do too much work, controlled the race from the front. He gave a strong kick into the straight and just had enough left at the finish to secure the win — his second for the preparation.

Congratulations to all our winning connections.
