Lightly raced 5yo mare Whistle Down brought up win number two of her career with an easy win at Colac on Sunday.
Dean Yendall needed all the luck he could find upon straightening. He was back, on the fence with nowhere to go. Around the home turn, the leader was tiring and rolled off the rail which allowed Dean to get the run right along the inside and win by 1.25 lengths. Whistle Down was very green in the run to the post, and she looked to have won the race on raw ability.

It was great to get the win for Cathy and the team at Burnewang Farm. They have been very patient with this mare and hopefully they’ll start to reap the rewards.
