Racing was at our home track at Warrnambool on Tuesday where we saddled up a big team for the afternoon.
It was a great to bring home three winners for the afternoon with the other stable runners all running well.
Little Sandy (pictured) was the first leg of the winning treble. She has been ultra consistent her whole career and it was great to get the win on the board for her connections.
She was well ridden by Tom Stockdale and always travelled like the winner. Although she only has the one win to her name, Little Sandy has never missed the placings and not finished further back than 4th. She is a great little money spinner for her connections.
Under The Palais, a tiny little mare who is all heart. She has been up a long time but she keeps turning up and running well. It was great to see her get the win on the board after been so consistent. She goes down by the smallest of margins but on Tuesday she was able to hold on and win by the smallest of margins. She has been in the top three on 12 occasions from her 20 starts and notched up more than $90k in prize-money for her connections. While the wet tracks are about, Under The Palais will front up at the races again and no doubt be as honest as she always is.
Freddy The Eagle is enjoying mixing flat racing with jumping and has been a revelation since coming to Warrnambool from Darwin. He was given a great steer by Linda Meech and was able to keep grinding away to win over the 3000m trip. For a horse with as many race starts as Freddy The Eagle, it is surprising with how green he can be. Once he hits the front he thinks the job is done. Track conditions don’t seem to phase him, from wet to dry or the synthetic he is very versatile. He is a great money spinner for his connections earning just shy of $70k in prize-money this time in and the preparation isn’t over yet.
Congratulations to all our winning connections.
