At only her second start for Wilde Racing, Street Delight broke her maiden status at Sandown on Monday. Sent to us by Bennett Racing after the filly didn’t seem to appreciate the busy city training stable life, she has settled into the country environment well.
Given a great ride by Craig Williams who had the advantage of riding her at her previous start, Street Delight certainly appreciated the step up in distance. She was very tough doing it at both ends of the race. Street Delight jumped quick and travelled well outside the leader, she then gave a great kick and was too tough going on to win by 1.5lengths. She will now be aimed towards the sires produce in SA in May.
Bennett Racing has recently joined the Wilde Racing team. It was great to get a winner for them at only their second starter for the stable. Hopefully it is the first of many wins for the new association.
Congratulations to the large group of owners in Street Delight.
