The old time theory of “greys revel in the wet” proved true for the ghostly grey Gunaluva at Warrnambool on Sunday.
In true jumps racing conditions, the track was heavy and the weather bitterly cold as Gunaluva jumped his way to victory in the 0 – 114 Steeplechase.

Gunaluva hit the lead in steeple lane. It was a long run up the straight as Contradeel and Laylite were closing fast. Gunaluva held a half length over his rivals to score his first victory over the fences. Gunaluva had been tough in defeat in his past two starts at Casterton and Hamilton. It was great to see him get the win on the board yesterday in front of a large group of connections who were on course to enjoy the win.

Congratulations to Flying Start Syndication’s and all the connections on the well deserved win.
