Star Stock is a maiden no longer. Having his 6th race start for the stable Star Stock was able to notch up his maiden victory in fine style at Geelong Racecourse.
Star Stock ridden by Blaike McDougall was able to work his way to the front from the wide gate over the 2470m race and from there controlled the race. Blaike started to build the tempo on Star Stock from the 800m and he responded well putting several lengths on the rest of the field. Star Stock was able to keep up the strong gallop down the straight and was extending his margin on the line to come away with a comfortable 3 length victory.
