Spare Coin (pictured) and Deeling Aces provided the stable with a winning double at Terang on Tuesday. It was a big day for the stable saddling up nine runners for the afternoon. It was a great result to get the two winners along with three seconds for the day.
Spare Coin was the first to find himself in the winners stall after a five length romp under Dean Yendall. A lightly raced 4yo gelding, it was great to see him back up his good run at Werribee with an impressive victory on Tuesday. He is a gelding that has shown plenty of talent however he seems to have a liking to softer track conditions. Spare Coin is starting to put together a nice record, from the five starts he was two wins and two thirds to his name. His only blemish came on a very firm track in a race not run to suit at Donald first up this preparation.
Deeling Aces has continued her perfect start to her career bringing up win number two from as many starts. She defied the pattern of the day, where being on pace seemed to be the place to be. Deeling Aces settled second last in running and came with a barn storming run down the outside to secure the win by 1.75 lengths. With plenty more maturing to come both physically and mentally the future looks bright for the lightly raced 4yo mare.
Congratulations to both groups of winning connections.
