Progressive 4yo Spare Coin was a winner at Geelong on Friday. He is starting to put together a nice profile for his connections winning three and placing on three occasions from his seven starts.
A $75,000 purchase from the 2021 Melbourne Inglis Premier Sale it shows you don’t need to spend big money to have a successful racehorse.

Spare Coin was given a lovely steer from Jake Noonan. With the run of the race just behind the speed, Spare Coin always travelled well on a solid tempo. At the top of the straight he peeled off the leaders back and galloped straight to the lead. When the second horse looked as though it was going to go sailing on by, Spare Coin rallied again to go on and win by a neck. With still a bit to learn, Spare Coin is an exciting gelding pushing forward into the winter with his liking for softer tracks.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
