Sirileo Miss continues to give her connections the ride of their life prevailing in the Group Three Matron Stakes at Flemington on Saturday.
After setting a solid tempo over the 1600m, Ben Melham looked to be travelling comfortably on her coming into the straight, she had beaten off Barb Raider who was sitting outside her the whole way ensuring Sirileo Miss didn’t get an easy time. When Melham asked Sirileo Miss for an effort she responded well. She stormed home to victory by three lengths.
Caller Matt Hill summed the race up perfectly with his line “Sirileo Miss, she’d run through a brick wall”. Her toughness and never lie down attitude is what makes her such a great racehorse.
With three group three wins on her page, Sirileo Miss is becoming a valuable broodmare prospect. While she is in good form and the owners are enjoying the ride, we will look to enhance her value as we aim towards the group two Sunline Stakes at Moonee Valley.
An Inglis Premier graduate in 2019 at the yearling sales, purchased for $60,000 from Miranda Park Stud, who retain a share in her, Sirileo Miss has well and truly paid for her self plus more earning her connections just shy of $800,000 in prize-money.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
