Promising 3yo colt got his much anticipated maiden win on the board at Kyneton yesterday. A perfect front running ride by Jordan Childs seen Sacred Eagle first past the post and pleased punters who had Sacred Eagle a short price favourite.
From the moment Sacred Eagle made his debut at the Warrnambool May Carnival earlier this year, we knew he had talent. The more racing he has done, the better he has got. Although he got the win yesterday, he is still very much a horse with untapped ability. He hasn’t worked out what his trade is but when he does, Sacred Eagle looks to be a progressive colt.
Purchased at the Tasmanian Magic Millions sales for $70,000, Sacred Eagle is a half to Soul Patch who placed in the 2019 derby. Although very early doors, Sacred Eagle could find himself heading that way if he continues to improve with each race start.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
