Promising 4yo mare Queen Zyrah was back in the winners stall yesterday after a luckless start to her campaign.
Dropping right back in class from her previous two starts at Moonee Valley she was too classy for her rivals. She missed the start slightly and was three back the fence which isn’t an ideal place to be at Ararat.
Race rider Harry Coffey didn’t panic, he managed to get clear runs and navigate a path into the straight. He never fully got to the bottom of Queen Zyrah as she went on to win by 1.25 lengths and looked to have plenty in hand.

It has taken a while for the penny to drop and become a the ready made product but she is now starting to build a good record from only a handful of starts. With a win on the board this preparation, we look forward to stepping her back up in class and hopefully another win isn’t too far away.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
