Queen Christine made a strong start to the new racing season with a solid win at Sandown on Sunday. Her performance backed up her recent Warrnambool victory, showing that effort was no one‑off and that she’s racing in great heart at the moment.
She travelled comfortably throughout, always in control of the tempo which allowed her to finish off in good style under Linda Meech. It was pleasing to see her handle the rise in grade and produce another honest performance.
Kicking off the 2026/27 season with an early winner is always encouraging, and Queen Christine has set a positive tone for the weeks ahead. She’s in good order, and her recent form suggests she can continue to be competitive as the preparation unfolds.
