Precious Charm was an all the way dominate winner of the Edenhope Cup on Saturday.
She jumped well and was able to get an uncontested lead with Linda Meech rating her beautifully out in front. It was Precious Charm’s first try at the 2000m and she couldn’t have been more impressive, streeting her rivals to win by 6 lengths. Knowing that Precious Charm can now see out a strong 2000m it opens up plenty of options going forward for her, including more of these country cups.
She is a very honest mare who can handle all types of going, so wet or dry she can adapt to all conditions which is a great attribute to have.
It was a great thrill for her connections who were on course to enjoy the victory. They love a day at the races particularly these country cup meetings.
Her purchase price of $80k from the 2021 Karaka yearling sales is starting to look like a bargain buy now that Precious Charm has notched up over $200k in prizemoney.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
