Plenty of Ammo was sent out a $1.18 favourite on Wednesday at Sandown and she didn’t disappoint the punters or her owners. She went on to win by 4.25 lengths and was eased down on the line.
She was only meeting seven other rivals but the way Plenty of Ammo won was ultra impressive. The biggest hurdle to overcome was moving into the barriers 1st. We have had to be so cautious on what races we tackle, when we run her and most of those decisions are left down to the barrier draw. A mare who got such a fright as a young horse, it has being a huge effort from many people to get Plenty Of Ammo where she is today. Hopefully we seem to be over that hurdle now and we can start to plan specific target races for her.
The ability was always there and that was the driving force to putting the hard work in and conquer Plenty of Ammo’s fear of the barriers. Already getting comparisons to the likes of fellow stable mates Sirileo Miss and Wishlor Lass, the sky’s the limit for Plenty of Ammo.
