It was a busy weekends racing for the team. With racing at Warracknabeal and Stawell we had plenty of runners and managed to bring home three winners across the two days.

Thunder Point (pictured) landed Wilde Racing their first Warracknabeal Cup. It was a super front running ride by Dean Yendall with Thunder Point leading throughout, awaiting the field to catch him on the turn then asking him to quicken and round the race off. Thunder Point went on to win by three quarters of a length. Thunder Point is racing in great form this preparation, bringing up his 3rd win for the campaign. Bred by Symon and his father Bill, it is always more satisfying to get a win, particularly a feature, with a horse you have bred.

Easter Sunday turned to Stawell races where the team book ended the program. Winning the first race with Star Testymony and the last with Ice Symphony.
Star Testymony won his maiden easily thanks to a great ride by Will Gordon. He won with plenty to spare as well as plenty of improvement to come. He is still very green and raw, learning his craft on the job. He is a gelding who will appreciate further and with the more racing he does, we are hopeful he will develop into a nice stayer.

Ice Symphony is a new acquisition for the stable and from only the four starts with Wilde Racing he delivered win number two. A lightly raced 4yo gelding is now starting to put together a nice record for his owners from the 17 starts, he has four wins and two minor placings to his name. A gelding who we hope to be able to stretch out to the 1400m and open up nice race options going forward, couldn’t have been more pleasing since joining the stable.

Congratulations to all our winning connections over the weekend.
