Labour day long weekend seen local racing at Warrnambool on Monday where the team saddled up 10 runners on our home track. We also had Aurora’s Symphony in the Adelaide Cup at group two level and he did the stable proud by running a gallant second over the 3200m journey.

The opening event of the day was over the 3280m for the high weight riders and Sunday Buzz was sent our favourtie after his consistent runs at Moonee Valley over a similar trip.
Throughout the event he lead by a big margin but was always travelling well under the guidance of Aaron Kuru. He managed a breather down the back straight and started to ramp the race up again from the 800m and Sunday Buzz galloped his rivals into the ground, going on to win by an easy 9 lengths. It was a great win and even a better result as it earned him points for the Jericho Cup which he is eligible for.

Atala (pictured) stepped out on debut for her owners and started her career in fine form. She needed to be tough and she was exactly that, able to do it at both ends of the race.
She lead from the barriers at a solid gallop, she gave a good kick in the straight and thankfully did enough to hold on to win by the fast finishing Power Missile. A filly that has shown us enough at home, it was good to see her bring it to race day. Atala is still very green and immature and after her debut run, she should only improve with the race day experience.

Coastal Town brought up the third leg of our winning treble and made it two wins on the bounce at his home track. Same track, distance and jockey it all looked good for a winning performance, it was just how Coastal Town handled the rise in grade and he did it in fine style. He didn’t have the easiest of runs in transit but he had clear galloping room and was able to build into the race when Dean Yendall needed to. Coastal Town went on to win by 1 length and put the writing on the wall that he will get out to the 2000m which will only open up more options for him.
Purchased from the New Zealand Ready to Run sales for $37500 Coastal Town has well and truly paid for himself.

Congratulations to all our winning connections.
