The team saddled up 5 runners at our home track on Thursday bringing home 2 wins, two placings and a fourth.
Bullzeye Beauty (pictured) was on the quick back up from Stawell five days earlier. After missing the kick slightly in her two starts this preparation, we removed all the head gear and she pinged the gates.
When she began so well, jockey Joe Bowditch let her roll and she never looked in doubt. They couldn’t catch the 3yo filly by Shooting To Win and she went on to score by an impressive 2.25 lengths.
It was a great to get the win on the board for Slade Bloodstock and his connections. The future looks bright for Bullzeye Beauty.
Glassey Miss was the second leg to the double getting a well deserved win on the board. She is a mare with plenty of talent but she has found more bad luck than good this preparation. After an encouraging run on her home track the start prior we were hopeful Glassey Miss would bounce back into the winners stall on Thursday. She was well rated in front by Laura Lafferty and nothing looked likely to run her down. Bringing up win number five of her career from only 19 starts, she certainly deserves a start back in town to get that elusive city win to her name. We are sure she has the ability to be able to snap up one of the off season mare races.
Congratulations to all our winning connections.
