Bargain buy Glassey Miss provided her owners with a memorable day at Flemington on Saturday, winning the Furphy Country Mile Series final.
Purchased for as little as $18,000 from the 2018 Vobis Gold yearling sales, Glassey Miss has returned her owners over $345,000 in prize-money to date.

She is a pleasure to train, she does everything right and she does the same on race day. Glassey Miss jumped well and put herself in a great spot just off the speed, it was a slow tempo but she relaxed well underneath Harry Coffey. The professional she is, Glassey Miss took the gaps as they appeared and when Harry gave her a click along to go, she responded well. It looked as though Gracias Amigo was going to run straight past her with about 200m to go but Glassey Miss pinned the ears back and toughed it out to win by a half length.

A great initiative by Racing Victoria to hold this series, with the horses competing for good prize-money around country tracks before having the Grand Final at Flemington with $250,000 worth of prize-money on offer.

Congratulations to the winning connections, many of those were there on the day.
