Plenty of Ammo kept her perfect record in tack for this preparation with a victory at Caulfield on Boxing Day. She may not have being as dominate as her previous victories but in conditions that didn’t seem to suit, Plenty of Ammo was able to get the job done.
She jumped well, and nipped back in behind the early speed but she never travelled on the softer track. Whether she didn’t like the rain affected going or didn’t appreciated the kick back or perhaps a combination of both, there were a few worrying signs for Plenty of Ammo throughout the run. Jordan Childs had to get busy on her which he hasn’t had to do before, thankfully she responded and held the second place horse at bay securing another city win for her connections.
As we have always stated, small fish are sweet with the daughter of Rebel Raider. As we raise the bar and she keeps answering the task, most importantly her barrier manners have remained calm which gives the team confidence to progress to bigger and better things for her in the future.
