Emerging hurdler Fabalot was an impressive winner of the JJ Houlahan Hurdle at Ballarat on the final jumps meeting of the year. Given a great front running ride by Chris McCarthy, Fabalot lead by as much as 15 lengths going in to the back straight. Chris managed to give him a breather midway down the back and no sooner had the opposition caught up, Fabalot was off and gone, clearing the last two jumps and galloping on to win by 12 lengths. He managed to break the track record with his emphatic victory.

With the jumps season over for the 2022/2023 season, Fabalot has gone to the paddock for a well earned break. Heading into next jumps season, we will look to target the Galleywood hurdle over the May Carnival where he ran a gallant second this year.

Lightly raced for a 7yo jumper, Fabalot looks to have a promising future over the hurdles.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
