Wilde Racing made the trek to Donald on Monday with a large team of runners. It was a successful afternoon with 2 winners and a very narrow second from the five starters.

From A Distance (pictured) made his race debut with John Allen in the saddle. He had been trialling nicely and galloping well at home that we hoped he would bring that form to the races. Bring that form he did with an impressive win over the 1200m. We had previously trained his half siblings who have developed into handy stayers but From A Distance has shown a little more dash than his relatives.
It was a great result for John and Gerry who both bred and now race the 3yo gelding by Needs Further, they look like they have an exciting galloper on their hands.

The second winner for the afternoon was Darts Daly. It was great to see him bounce back from the subpar run at Sandown the start prior. The team looked to have worked out the best way to ride Darts Daly on race-day to get the best result. Ridden quieter from the awkward barrier draw, Darts Daly came with a barn storming finish down the centre of the track to win by half a length.
The 4yo son of Squamosa is starting to put together a nice record now having the 12 starts with 4 wins, two seconds and a third.

Look out for both these horses at the fast-approaching Warrnambool May Carnival.

Congratulations to both groups of winning connections.
