Precious Charm proved she is as tough as they come with an all the way gutsy win at Flemington on Thursday. She was on the seven day back up, leaping in distance from 1200m to 1700m, headed in the run to the finish post but pinned the ears back and went on to win by a neck.
Precious Charm jumped well from the inside draw and was well rated out in front by Jordan Childs. Full credit goes to the horse. A mare who can get anxious and hot headed, kept her cool during the big day and was the ultimate professional throughout the run. A race that the stable has had success in before with Tralee Rose, it was great to win again on the big stage of the Flemington Spring Carnival.
Winning on these days mean the world to a country stable like Wilde Racing and it was a great thrill to get the win for some fantastic owners.
A 4yo mare by Per Incanto continues to add to her impressive record and rewarding the patience of her owners. A winner of three of her four starts and $119k in prize-money she is certainly a great money spinner for her connections after paying $80k for her from the 2021 New Zealand yearling sales.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
