Bellakai debuted as a 4yo at Warrnambool yesterday with Linda Meech in the saddle.
A big, strong individual who took time to grow into her frame, Bellakai made it a winning start to her career.

Bellakai took everything in her stride at the races yesterday. She had to be patient in the barriers when there was a fair bit of commotion, to her credit she fell asleep and didn’t turn a hair. She stepped slowly but mustered speed quickly to settle just outside the leader. For Bellakai to get the win over a trip that will be well short of her best is exciting for her owners going forward.

The patience the owners have shown to get the mare by Fiorente to the races are now being well rewarded. Giving her a good break as a late 3yo when she was showing signs of immaturity look to be the making of this mare.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
