Cousins Day (pictured) gave her 86 owners something to cheer about as she stormed to victory at Horsham on Monday.

Bred by one of the owners Marcia Kenna and raced by 85 relatives, it was a special moment for the large family.

They have been very patient with the daughter of Kermadec. Standing at a whopping 17hh, Cousins Day needed time to grow and develop into her big frame. Throw in a couple of mishaps along the way, Cousins Day certainly tested the patience of her owners. Rider Dean Yendall took Cousins Day straight to the front and took any bad luck out of the equation. They bowled along at a nice tempo and rounded off the race in a track gallop type fashion to score by 2.25 lengths.

Imamanzor brought up win number two of his short career to date and made it a stable double. He tackled better grade as an early three-year-old and had the better form in the race. He jumped and travelled well for Declan Bates just outside the leader. They started to up the tempo from the 500m, and Imamanzor soon had the leader covered. He is still learning his trade as when left in front for a little too long on his own, Imamanzor wasn’t too sure how to put the race away. Declan always felt like he had enough in hand to win the race and as the favourite raised a challenge about 100m from home, Imamanzor kept kicking to win by a neck.

Congratulations to both groups of winning connections.
