Colac Cup Day on Sunday seen Aurora’s Symphony and Hard ‘n’ Tough combine for a stable double.
Aurora’s Symphony was rated well in front by Joe Bowditch, he was the class horse of the field and it was great to see him string two wins together.
He is a lovely sound horse that looks as though he will stay all day. If he continues to progress the way he is going, he could develop into a handy country cups horse.
Honest mare Hard ‘n’ Tough always promised to win a handy race and it was her day on Sunday in the Colac Cup. Given a lovely ride by Dean Yendall she held on to win by a narrow margin. She is a mare that you would love to own. She jumps and puts herself in the right spot to give herself every chance, either in the lead or just off the pace. She always travelled well behind the speed on Sunday and she just needed an ounce of luck to get out at the top of the straight. She took a needle eye opening and went on to win by a narrow margin. She is as tough as they come and we will look to target another country cup with her as she now climbs in the ratings.
Congratulations to all winning connections.
