Chipilly was a deserving winner at Terang on Friday in front of a large group of winning connections.
A filly by Shooting to Win x Princess Command she has been very well named as Chipilly is the name of the French town that was liberated by six Australian soldiers in WW1.

Chipilly has shown plenty of promise in her early career to date. Starting on six occasions and recording a win, a second and a third.
In her second racing preparation she was tried twice in metro class, and she didn’t disgrace herself. This is her third preparation and only second up, it was great to get the maiden victory on the board.
She jumped with the field, but she was slow into stride. Lester Grace settled a little further back than we had intended. The pace was on, and it allowed Chipilly to travel comfortably and navigate a path through. At the top of the straight, she always looked to be travelling well and when asked to extend, that she did careering away to win by 2.25 lengths and looked to have plenty in hand.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
