A winning double at Casterton on Sunday seen Wilde Racing finish the 2023/2024 racing season with 90 wins Australia wide.
Freddy The Eagle capped off a busy week winning the open hurdle in front of a large group of connections. He has a liking for the Casterton track having had two wins and a second from his three starts.
The win on Sunday showed how tough Freddy The Eagle is, having won on the flat on Tuesday. He is an owners dream, earning a cheque each time he fronts the starter whether it be on wet or dry tracks, over the jumps or on the flat, Freddy The Eagle turns up and gets the job done. Given most of his connections are Casterton locals, they get a great thrill winning on their home track.
Wichitall (pictured) took a while to break his maiden status but he now has two wins on the bounce bringing up our second winner for the day at Casterton. Not only was he our second winner, Wichitall was our 90th winner Australia wide for the racing season. It was great to see Wichitall back in the winners circle so quickly. His connections have been very patient waiting for him to greet the judge in first place and he has repaid their faith at his last two starts.
