Sunday Buzz was in the winners’ stall at Geelong on Friday after 850 days. It was a credit to his ownership group for sticking with him and to the stable for their perseverance and patience to get Sunday Buzz back in winning form. He is a stayer so getting the early runs into him and the miles in his legs to run the longer trips always makes it hard to win early in a campaign. Now that Sunday Buzz has the grounding under his belt, we will look to target races over longer distances for him and try to secure Jericho Cup points along the way. He was a brave second in that race in 2024 and it would be great to be able to run him again knowing he will run out the marathon 4600m without any worry.
Having had the 25 starts now and in that time notching up four wins and just shy of $180k in prizemoney he has certainly brought joy to his ownership group. He is lightly raced for a 7yo, providing he stays sound and continues to enjoy his racing, we are sure there will be more wins to add to his current record.
