Aurora’s Symphony secured a well deserved feature win by taking out the Colac Cup on Friday. A horse that is a model of consistency for his ownership group it was great to see Aurora’s Symphony get the win.
This was the 5th time Wilde Racing has won the Colac Cup, twice when Symon was in partnership with Bill Wilde.

The horse has come a long way in 12 months, on the same day last year Aurora’s Symphony won the BM64 2000m race.
Given a lovely ride by Linda Meech, Aurora’s Symphony always looked to travel well on the fence, it was only going to be bad luck to see him be defeated. The second favourite, Chantrea, didn’t travel down the hill all that well. This left room for Meech to edge away from the inside, find clear galloping room rounding the home turn, before hitting the front and going on to score a strong victory.

Purchased as a yearling for $40,000 from the Vobis Gold yearling sale in 2018, Aurora’s Symphony has proven a bargain buy, earning in $219,065 in prize-money for his connections.

Congratulations to the large group of winning owners.
