Armstrong Bay is a maiden no longer after breaking through for victory at Ararat on Saturday.
We didn’t think he would be a maiden after six starts but it has taken time for the penny to drop and learn be a racehorse.

On Saturday Armstrong Bay jumped well and was able to put himself in a handy position which is key at Ararat. Rounding the home turn, he looked to be under a little bit of pressure. Under the urging of Will Gordon, Armstrong Bay built into the race and was too good for his rivals in the finish. He went on to win by 4.25 lengths.

It was great to see Armstrong Bay get the maiden win out of the way. Hopefully he can now go on with the job as we increase him in distance.

Congratulations to the very patient group of owners. It was great to see some of you there on the day to enjoy the win.
