It was hot conditions at Hamilton last Tuesday but Actaeon broke his maiden in fine style under Dean Yendall.

Unlike his start prior, Actaeon jumped well and was able to settle in a more forward position. He eventually took up the lead and always travelled comfortably throughout the run.
Dean nursed him through the down hill run in the straight and when he asked for an effort Actaeon put a space on them quickly. For a Tavistock, he has a good turn of foot which has seen him competitive over the shorter trips.

We didn’t think it would take until start seven for Actaeon to break his maiden status. Through bad luck and seemingly a disliking for wet ground, it took him a little longer to notch up his first win on the board.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
