Wilde Racing enjoyed a terrific afternoon at Coleraine on Sunday, coming away with a winning double thanks to strong performances from Embezzler and Sadlers Symphony.
The first win came courtesy of Embezzler (pictured), who broke through in the maiden hurdle. Purchased as a tried horse midway through the jumps season, he has been a rewarding project for the team, and it was pleasing to see him deliver exactly the kind of performance we believed he was capable of. He travelled kindly, jumped well, and showed the professionalism we hoped he would bring to the stable.
In the lucky last, Sadlers Symphony added the second leg of the double with a tough staying victory. He appreciated getting back onto a firmer surface and was able to build into his work, drawing clear to win by just over two lengths. Carrying 71.5kg, he showed genuine grit and staying ability, lifting when it mattered and putting the race away in strong fashion.
It was also a great day for hardworking stable rider Dean Parker, who partnered both winners. Dean is an important part of the team and seeing him come away with a winning double was a fitting reward for his effort and dedication behind the scenes.
A successful day at Coleraine – Congratulations to both groups of winning connections.
