Wilde Racing enjoyed a terrific afternoon at Terang on Tuesday, coming away with a well‑earned stable double after wins from My Uncle Did It (pictured) and Dobkins.
The day kicked off in style with My Uncle Did It taking out the BM62 over 2156m, a result made even more satisfying thanks to the ride of loyal stable jockey Dean Parker. Dean does an enormous amount of work behind the scenes for the team, and it was fantastic to see him rewarded with a winner on race day. The mare travelled kindly throughout and responded exactly as hoped when Dean asked her to lift, pulling away late to secure a deserving victory.
The second leg of the double came courtesy of Dobkins, who claimed the BM56 over 1206m in a tight finish. We knew that mare had improved with fitness from her first up run, and Tuesday’s win was a fantastic result for her connections. She showed determination over the concluding stages and looks to be a horse with a bright future ahead.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
