Wichitall delivered a brilliant front‑running performance at Morphettville on Saturday, controlling the race from the outset and never giving his rivals a look‑in. Ridden confidently by Jake Noonan, the gelding bounced straight to the lead, travelled comfortably throughout, and showed plenty of determination in the run to the line.
It was a well‑deserved victory, showcasing his genuine speed and toughness, and another rewarding result for his connections. The stable is thrilled to see him continue to build consistency after losing his way earlier this preparation – although with a few excuses.
Wichtall has now won three of his past four starts and the win on Saturday secured his first “metro” victory. A graduate of the 2021 Inglis Premier Sale, where he was secured for $80,000, Wichitall has now surpassed $150,000 in prizemoney, rewarding his connections with 12 top three finishes from his 28 career starts.
Congratulations to all involved.
