It was a sit and steer, stand and cheer outing for Thurmond at Bendigo on Sunday.
Linda Meech took up the running from the barrier and controlled the race from start to finish. Thurmond was happy out in front bowling along at a leisurely gallop.

From the 800m they started to increase the tempo and the other horses we off the bit chasing. Thurmond gave a good kick in the straight, he doesn’t do any more than he needs to and while the margin was shortened on the line, Thurmond was able to win by 1.25 lengths.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
