Making the progression from hurdles to steeples was no problems for dashing jumper Fabalot at Terang on Sunday.
Bowling along out in front like he loves to do, Fabalot made light work of jumping the bigger fences and jockey William McCarthy gave him a great report. He couldn’t fault his display of jumping. Back down in the weights after carrying top weight in the hurdle races, Fabalot looks set for bigger and better things than the maiden steeplechase he contested on Sunday.
Having earned a tick over $260,000 in prizemoney through his jumping feats, it shows how a horse like Fabalot who seemingly lost his way on the flat has made a wonderful career out of jumping. He still looks to have a few more season ahead of him to be able to add to his great so far.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
