Lightly raced 4yo De Gaulle mare Tremamore broke her maiden status at Horsham on Sunday.
She had been building nicely this preparation to get the maiden win out of the way. Her connections have been very patient with this mare. She debuted as a 3yo, and she ran a pleasing second.
Not long prior to what was meant to be her next start, Tremamore suffered a colic attack which required surgery and a long rehab program. Her owners were great and afforded the mare the time she needed to recover and get back to the races.
Tremamore was given a great ride by Harry Coffey, by chance he followed the favourite everywhere in the run. Tremamore quickly took over the lead in the home straight and although she didn’t career away, she sustained a good gallop to the line to go on and win by two lengths.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
