Promising galloper McKeever scored an impressive win on debut at Bendigo on Wednesday. He did it tough and didn’t have all the favours but coming around the home turn, Joe Bowditch had a lap full of horse.
It was just a matter of holding McKeever together before pressing the go button and asking for him to extend. Joe reported after the race, McKeever will only improve from the race day experience and he has a bright future ahead.
Purchased for $57,500 from the Perth Magic Millions Sales he looks to have an exciting future. McKeever is raced by long time stable clients both the Whitehead and Blackwell families.
They have had great success racing horses over the years and this gelding looks to be another promising 3yo on the rise.
