Sadlers Symphony broke through for a well‑deserved maiden victory at Casterton on Sunday, guided perfectly by Jack Hill.
The gelding showed good promise last preparation, but two heavy tracks early this campaign made it difficult for him to find his rhythm. Back on firmer footing, he was able to show his true ability, travelling strongly throughout and finishing the race off in encouraging style.
A terrific result for a genuine bargain‑buy purchase, and one that suggests there is more to come. He shapes as a horse who will only improve as the distances rise — a gelding with clear staying upside and a platform now to build on for the preparation ahead.
Congratulations to the winning connections.
