Stable Jockeys ride Casterton double
May 30, 2017
Stable riders Shane Jackson and Melissa Julius provided Wilde Racing with a double at Casterton yesterday.
Hello My Dear was the first leg of the double. Ridden beautifully by Shane to win race two. Hello My Dear seemed to relish the 10 day freshen up, in our Ballarat stable before having hurdle trial in preparation for yesterdays event. Shane gave her a lovely run in transit just off the pace and said she seem to appreciate something to chase in the run to the line.
Melissa followed up in race four on Cape Sounion who demolished his rivals by 5 lengths. With the application of blinkers for the first time, he was a lot more switched on than his first start this time in at the May Carnival. Cape Sounion has been a slow learner. With a win under his belt and the penny starting to drop, he looks set for a bright future.
Well done to both groups of winning connections who have been great supporters of the stable.
