Gold Medals breaks cup drought

Apr 24, 2017

Number thirteen is unlucky for some but Gold Medals won the Terang Cup on Sunday at his 13th attempt in a Cup race.

As honest as Gold Medals is, a country cup was always missing from his CV after many consistent attempts in the feature events.
The Terang Cup in 2015 he finished 5th and then was runner up to the eventual Warrnambool Cup winner in 2016.

Gold Medal's has been a terrific horse for his connections and the stable, winning his first start as a 2yo and still winning as a 7yo.
He is very versatile mixing his racing between the flat and hurdles.

The stable also enjoyed success at Hamilton on Friday with Classic Port.
The filly is raced by some long time supporters of our stable, Doug and Anne Parker so it was great to get the victory for them.
